Senior Class of 2015 Model | Utah Senior Portrait Photographer

It's my second favorite time of year (behind Christmas), Senior Model season!  I get to work with a whole new batch of Seniors who will be representing Aimee Campbell Photography for the 2014/2015 school year.  I have so much fun dragging these kids around Cache Valley and experimenting with different posing and lighting.  I'm really glad they are such good sports!  Check back often, I still have 3 more models to share with you and they are all super cute.

First up is Cassidy, my first of two models from Mt. Crest.  I got to photograph her family last fall and I asked at that point if she was willing to be a Senior Model for me.  Lucky for me she was!  Cassidy is a member of the Mt. Crest softball team.  We had so much fun creating fun images with her softball gear that I almost forgot to get any portrait shots of just her. She brought lots of fun props which I love incorporating into senior portrait sessions.

It's so weird for me to think that when her mother was a Senior, she and I were out doing crazy fun stuff that you only get away with in high school. It seems like only yesterday we were sticking her mother in a coffin (willingly, she got in willingly and she didn't even scream when she was almost dropped in it head first).  I hope this cute girl makes some awesome memories this year that will stick with her for a lifetime, you only get that chance once!

2014-2015 Seniors in Cache Valley, find Cassidy and ask her for once of her discount cards, she has a deal for you.  Also, check back to see if you recognize any of the other girls, they will all have a discount towards your Senior Portrait session.  I'd love to get to work with you and create some unique images for you.

S Engagement | Utah Portrait Photographer

As I'm sure I've stated over and over on here, I am no longer in the wedding photography business.  I love the gorgeous dresses, the beautiful settings, and all the love that surrounds the day, but I can seriously do without the stress that goes with shooting a wedding.  I don't love shooting something that can't be re-shot.  It makes me a little queasy just thinking about it.  That being said, it doesn't mean that I don't love shooting seriously cute couples like this one.

This is my friend Tammy's son.  Tammy is an amazing photographer herself, so her asking me to do this for her was a HUGE honor.  Tammy has done one of the bravest things ever and taken her family and her life on the road.  They've driven all the way from Alaska to the east coast.  So when her son got engaged and both he and fiance were in Utah, she wasn't able to do the pictures herself.  I was more than happy to do it for her.  You can keep up with her adventures on the road here.

These two were so cute together, she told me all about the story of them meeting when she was only 14 and of course she was too young to date.  So after serving an LDS mission (to of all places Utah, which included Hyrum, just up the road from me) he looked her back up and love blossomed.  He proposed to her at the Statue of Liberty, I swoon!  Seriously, so romantic, especially when you consider how my engagement went down.  Ask me about it sometime, romance was not to be found anywhere.

I know these two have already gone through so much to be together.  They've braved the long distance issue and are planning a wedding from two different states (a wedding which will take place in a third state).  I wish them all the luck in the world and hope they have a long and happy marriage.

Miss T | Utah Senior Portrait Photographer

This is the last of my 2014 Senior portrait posts.  I have had so much fun working with these kids (who are now officially adults).  I'm always so excited to see what they are going on to!  It's a really exciting time in your life. Soon I am going to start posting my Senior Models for the 2015 school year, it just seems that each year goes by faster and faster!  Check back soon to start seeing those beautiful girls.  I can't wait to share them all with you!

This gorgeous girl was a Senior Model for me for this year.  She decided she wanted to do another shoot in the spring and I was more than happy to so it for her because she is so much fun to be around. She is also a pro at makeup.  I'm not sure what she has planned for the future, but if it's not being a makeup artist, it maybe should be!  She always shows up to her shoots looking stunning.  I wish I had that kind of talent, I'm terrible at it (even with a lesson from my makeup artist Ashley).  It doesn't hurt that she has a natural beauty and a super sweet personality to go with it.

I consider myself so lucky that I've gotten to work a lot with this family, her older sister was also a Senior Model and I got to do their family portraits.  They are always so nice and kind, I love working with them.  It's still a few more years before I get to recruit their next daughter to be a Senior Model for me, but you can bet when that time comes I will sign her right up because they are such great people.

As always, leave me some comments, I'd love to hear what you think!

Logan Utah Airbrush Makeup Artist | Logan Utah Portrait Photographer

A little over a year ago I put out a call on a local classifieds board looking for a makeup artist.  I had reached out to some other artists but none of them were returning my calls or messages. This seems odd to me if you are trying to build a client base, why not call people back?  Anyway, it all worked out for the best in the end, because Ashley answered my classified ad and the rest is history! She is amaaaaaaazing at what she does! Ashley really helps enhance a woman's beauty and helps her see just how beautiful she really is.

We have decided to make the most of summer this year!  Every other week (and sometimes more) we are getting together to create awesome images.  We've gathered together a long list of models and have session ideas coming out of our ears!  I really hope we find the time to put them all together before the weather turns bad again (listen to me! It's only June and I'm already thinking about that!  It's what happens when you are a photographer in Cache Valley).

Ashley generally does a traditional makeup application for most of my photo shoots.  This time I talked her into doing airbrush makeup.  The benefits of airbrush makeup for a client are, it can last all day, and makes you look nearly flawless up close.  It's perfect for a bride who has a long day ahead of her and will be up close and personal with a lot of people throughout the day.  I think it has a place with Senior Portrait photography too.  It just makes those teenage girls who make have skin issues look like a gorgeous porcelain doll.

A special thanks goes out to our beautiful model Torie.  She was such a great sport.  We got started a little late so we had to make crazy mad dashes all through Logan to get perfect light.  In the end it was a blast, and I can't wait until we do it again, which just happens to be tonight.  So be sure to check back on the blog to see more of our crazy summer adventures because there is lots more to come!
