Before and After - Melissa - Northern Utah Portrait Photographer

Meet Melissa, our history together goes back almost longer than time itself.  We grew up a few blocks apart and through high school we were inseparable.  I could write post after post about our little adventures.  Like the time we went to girl's camp and while we were trying to get away from having to do dishes, I fell sideways into the river somehow dowsing my complete left side but leaving the right dry.  Melissa, standing on the banks, laughed so hard she....well let's just say she had to change her clothes too! (Hope she doesn't mind me telling that story, she probably doesn't, it was funny!)

Well, time went on, and we went in separate directions, but as luck would have it we both ended up buying houses in the same small town.  Only a few blocks apart.

She was bringing me by the much anticipated Girl Scout Cookies when I showed her what I had been doing with makeovers.  She was totally game to let me make her over.  She dropped in one afternoon while she was running errands for her before picture.  We had such a good time, and luckily, neither one of us need a change of clothes when it was over!

So what do you think? You ready to your transformation?  Leave me a comment or come find me on Facebook, make sure to "Like" my page while you're there.

Cox Family - Northern Utah Family Portrait Photographer

I have known these cute kid's dad for so long that I don't even want to admit it!  It would truly show my age if I said it because he was just a boy and now he has a boy of his own.  Time flies.

He and his beautiful wife sure do have cute kids.  Those blue eyes are just about to die for! Their cute little boy and I had some great conversations about lady bugs and boogers (which apparently you give to grandpa when you have one).  It took awhile for the baby to come around, but in the end we were giving each other head butts.  Don't look too close, you might see a red spot on her head.

When spring starts to turn things a little more green we will try and fit in pictures of the whole family.  Until then enjoy these cute kids.  Can't wait to see them again!

Here's a couple of outtakes that I just loved.

Before and After - Northern Utah Portrait Photographer

Over the weekend I got inspired by the amazing Sue Bryce.  She has the awesome ability to make every woman beautiful.  She had such a great message that I couldn't wait to try out her style (me and MANY other photographers).  I recruited a fellow photographer, Brandi, one of the fantastic girls I went to WPPI with, to let me practice.

We planned this shoot for days, Brandi posted pictures on our Facebook group for help on what to wear.  I studied makeup on Pinterest and she went out and bought her first bottle of foundation. She took a before picture for me so you could be sure to see her transformation.

And transform she did!  Can you believe this girl is a mother of 3?! She looked so fantastic her husband took her out on an unplanned date that night.

We had so much fun and I can't wait to shoot more women and make them feel beautiful.  Thanks again Brandi for being such a gorgeous model and so fun to be with  It was a great day. If you want to look this fantastic, and believe me you can, contact me and I would be more than happy to help.

So what do you think?  Let me know in the comments.

Senior Model Program - Northern Utah Senior Photographer

On of the areas I would really like to focus my work on this year is Senior Portraits.  The seniors I have shot so far have been so fun and great to work with.  Each time I shoot one, I can't wait to shoot another!

Currently I am looking for Senior Models for the class of 2013.  I will choose 2 models who are currently Juniors to represent each school.  They will get lots of great perks and free stuff!

If you know of anyone who might be interested in this, please leave me a comment.  I am hoping to have all of the slots fill by the end of March.  You can also leave me a message on Facebook.  There is a graphic on there that I would love if you shared on your wall for others to see!
