Last week Brandi and I had the privilege of shooting this awesome couple. We headed to downtown Logan to a few remote spots that are a bit off of the beaten path. Neither one of us had shot there in the winter so it was a bit of an adventure! I only fell in the snow once, for me, that's a victory. At the shoot we did just before this (formals you can't see till after the wedding) I got stuck in the snow. So just falling wasn't that big of a deal. Have I mentioned that I'm ready for winter to be over? I think I talk about the weather in most posts LOL. I just really miss a nice green background!

Sweet, Project 12 - Logan Utah Photographer
My friend Tammy has started a great website called Project 12 (you can read about it by clicking on it). She gives out a monthly assignment to help photographers photograph their own lives more. I didn't get the chance to go out and shoot specifically for this project but I thought our Christmas card pictures fit the theme. I also haven't shared them on here yet so I guess it's about time. The theme this month was "Sweet" and I think this first picture fits it perfectly:
Someday I'm going to get this enlarged for my house. Yep, been putting it off. Here are the rest that we didn't use: |
The second one I am going to get for our wall |
I LOOOOOVE Kent in this picture! (not so flattering of me but he's just so happy) |
Me in my true form |
Awwwww sweet |

This fall and winter I have been so lucky to get to shoot with Brandi at all of these wonderful weddings. This couple was a personal favorite. I so loved shooting their engagement pictures. You can see those here. I love how at ease they are with each other, just so comfortable.
They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. This was the first couple I have shot that were married there so I was very excited to get to shoot their formals. It was so cold though, and there were so many couples getting married that day. But we soldiered through and got some great shots. We also did a short drive down the street just for a change of scenery.
Their wedding reception was so much fun! It was held in attic of a building in downtown Ogden. They made it look so beautiful. The cake was gorgeous and the dancing was TOO much fun! I'm so excited for these two to start their lives together, but really am going to miss working with them.

The snow makes a beautiful backdrop for pictures, but honestly I'm getting tired of the same backdrop! We even had a late winter but I'm ready for a nice green valley to take pictures in.
These two were such troopers. We met them in downtown Logan to start out and it was so cold! Both Brandi and I about lost a thumb (weird side note: left thumb, both of us, not used for manipulating the camera, what's up with that?). We had to hop back in the car a few times to get warmed up. We took them to see the sites around downtown and then headed to a gorgeous orchard to wrap things up. I love how they all turned out.
Yesterday we went out and took her bridals. I can't wait to share those! But of course I can't until after the wedding, he hasn't seen her dress yet. Stay tuned!

I'm so close to getting caught up on my blogging I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! But again, I'm posting pictures I took before winter came. Again, I'm so thankful for the long fall here in Logan!
It wasn't too long after we took these that winter hit Cache Valley but I'm glad it held off because I'm in love with these images. These two could not have been more in love. They couldn't stop smiling at each other. Their wedding was beautiful (a bit cold, but beautiful) and they are going to have a wonderful life together.
