Sigh... I love doing bridals. Which is why when Brandi asked if I wanted to come along for a bridal shoot I jumped at the chance! It's doubly nice when the bride shows up and she's gorgeous (but really, what bride isn't? maybe it's the dress, I don't know, but I've never seen an ugly bride). She was so super sweet and right in the middle of a very stressful week. She was getting married within days of this shoot.
We had so much fun shooting in the foothills of beautiful Cache Valley. As I was editing these pictures I was thinking, wow, we really live in a gorgeous place. I'll need to bring these pictures back up in February when I'm wondering why it is again that I live here.

Shyanne + Weston | Logan Utah Wedding Photographer
I'm getting caught up on my blogging finally! This is my last shoot from winter. I'm pretty happy actually that I don't have to shoot in the snow any more.
This couple was so cute together! The definitely had a bit of country in them. We got to go out and shoot at the American West Heritage Center where they will be having their wedding. It was a fun day, I'm glad Brandi invited me along!

I love it when a photo shoot comes with a good story! This one has a few. We started in downtown Logan at the Caine Theater, this couple are both vocal artists and had special memories at this spot. We did their first look there and headed to another spot just a few blocks away. After that we asked them to follow us to the next location. We are driving along and we see in the rear view mirror them getting pulled over! She had decided not to buckle up because of the dress and got busted. Luckily the Logan police took pity on her and let her off with a warning.
So we get to our last location, and I get this great idea for a shot (it's the last one here) and I want her to tromp out into the snow in her dress. She was game for it but she only had heels on. So I took off my boots and gave them to her. I had a pair of clogs in the car. So we both head out into the snow. I get the shot and quickly realize I'm stuck and I can't get myself out because I am holding the camera. In the mean time, Brandi is taking the couple off to the next shot and no one hears my whining. Finally, Brandi did hear me and came out to rescue me. My clogs were full of snow. But it made for a gorgeous shot!

Emmie Bridals | Utah Wedding Photographer
Each photographer has an area of photography they love more than all others, some it's kids, others newborns, me it's bridals. I just love capturing how beautiful these women are for the most important day of their lives. I had the honor of photographing this gorgeous girl on a cold winter day in February. She got married today so I can finally share these photos. I am so thankful every day that I get to do what I love. I have my husband to thank for that really. This is what I love and I hope it translates in these images.

Dani + Matt Engagement | Logan Utah Wedding Photographer
The look on this guy's face pretty much says it all to me. She makes him happy. They were the cutest couple and are so much in love!
We met them in Smithfield and began exploring. We found this gorgeous bridge, we had shot in the same spot before but just never looked at the bridge for a potential place to shoot. I loved it. The water in the background, combined with the snow was just so pretty. We wandered around and found a few other really fun spots. They were such great sports and headed out into the snow when we asked. He was even good enough to carry her when she had on those awesome heels!
Thanks you two for letting us take your engagement pictures, we had so much fun!

Megan + Jordan Engagements | Cache Valley Wedding Photographer
Last week Brandi and I had the privilege of shooting this awesome couple. We headed to downtown Logan to a few remote spots that are a bit off of the beaten path. Neither one of us had shot there in the winter so it was a bit of an adventure! I only fell in the snow once, for me, that's a victory. At the shoot we did just before this (formals you can't see till after the wedding) I got stuck in the snow. So just falling wasn't that big of a deal. Have I mentioned that I'm ready for winter to be over? I think I talk about the weather in most posts LOL. I just really miss a nice green background!

Emilee + Juan Formals | Northern Utah Wedding Photographer
This fall and winter I have been so lucky to get to shoot with Brandi at all of these wonderful weddings. This couple was a personal favorite. I so loved shooting their engagement pictures. You can see those here. I love how at ease they are with each other, just so comfortable.
They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. This was the first couple I have shot that were married there so I was very excited to get to shoot their formals. It was so cold though, and there were so many couples getting married that day. But we soldiered through and got some great shots. We also did a short drive down the street just for a change of scenery.
Their wedding reception was so much fun! It was held in attic of a building in downtown Ogden. They made it look so beautiful. The cake was gorgeous and the dancing was TOO much fun! I'm so excited for these two to start their lives together, but really am going to miss working with them.
