Northern Utah Senior Portraits | Logan Utah Photographer

It has been a rainy month here in Logan, and I haven't done a lot of shooting outdoors, so you would think with all of that extra time I would be a little more consistent about blogging.  Things are about to change with that though.  I've got lots of really fun posts to get up.  Lots of Seniors and some wedding fun.

First up is this Senior boy from Logan High.  I always ask the boys when we first meet if they wanted to get their pictures done or if their mom is making them do it.  Most of the time, it's the mom.  This one was no different, it took a bit for him to come out of his shell, and I think he wasn't a fan of me dragging him around town, but we got some great shots.  So in the end, I'm glad he wanted to make his mother happy!

Senior Portraits Logan Utah | Winter Senior Shoot

Hello there long lost blog readers!  I hope some of you are still around, it's been awhile.  Things got a bit crazy around these parts and blogging sort of went to the bottom of the list.  I'm so glad to be back to sharing me images though.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, Senior Portrait season!  First up is one of my favorite Seniors.  We did a session last fall and she wanted to do some during the winter because she is a cold weather girl.  Well, if you live in the state of Utah, you know we didn't get a whole lot of snow this year.  She was also busy doing a school play, so finding a time to do this set was a bit of a challenge.  Luckily, we got one of (what felt like) two snow storms the week of her shoot.  However, by the weekend, the snow was rapidly melting, so we drove up by the new ski resort in Richmond and found some snow on a south slope.  I think they turned out super cute!  But of course this girl has the personality to make anything absolutely adorable!

Senior Model 2015 | Cache Valley Senior Portrait Photographer

I have set a goal to get completely caught up on blogging before the end of next week.  So in doing that, I went back through my more recent shoots and discovered I still hadn't blogged this one!  My last Senior Model for the 2015 school year.

Abigail is a Senior at Mt. Crest this year, she also just so happens to be my neighbor.  She is really active in music and I was hoping to drag a piano out into a field for her Senior portraits, but that didn't really seem realistic.  So we headed to my favorite park to get some super cute pics.  I can't wait to see what her Senior year holds for her! If you are looking to get Senior pictures done in Logan or Cache Valley, find Abigail at Mt. Crest.  She has a great deal for you!

Adorn It | Utah Fashion Photography

You may remember me mentioning earlier in the summer that my makeup artist Ashley (or "The Amazing Ashley" as I like to call her) are doing a project where every other week we get together and practice doing our craft.  We sort of pick a theme, find models, and just go out and have fun.  These are images from one of these shoots.  Ashley put so much work in getting this all together!  She met with a stylist at Adorn It to borrow clothing from their store.  She them recruited two of her friends to be models for the evening and let me tell you, those girls rocked it!  Adorn It was so awesome to let us use their merchandise, they have the cutest clothes there!  They are also great advocates for helping other local business out any way they can.

For this shoot, we headed up to the campus of USU.  It was a really hot evening but the models were such great sports.  I also invited my friend Cindee along for the evening.  She and I went to the WPPI conference in Vegas together this spring and we had been wanting to shoot together ever since, we finally got our chance!  It worked out well with the two models because we each got to take one and go have fun, then we'd just switch and create more beautiful images.  We both just about died from dehydration (and I might have almost passed out a little, but who's counting), so remember your water bottles fellow photographers!

Here's some advice I have for you if you are getting Senior Portraits done, and even family pictures; Adding a makeup artist to a photo shoot makes such an amazing difference.  Please considering hiring one, even if you aren't doing a shoot with me.  Most know what looks good for the camera.  Of course, I mostly only trust Ashley with my clients, so I highly recommend using her.  I would be more than happy to pass along her telephone number to you.

Senior Class of 2015 Model | Utah Senior Portrait Photographer

It's my second favorite time of year (behind Christmas), Senior Model season!  I get to work with a whole new batch of Seniors who will be representing Aimee Campbell Photography for the 2014/2015 school year.  I have so much fun dragging these kids around Cache Valley and experimenting with different posing and lighting.  I'm really glad they are such good sports!  Check back often, I still have 3 more models to share with you and they are all super cute.

First up is Cassidy, my first of two models from Mt. Crest.  I got to photograph her family last fall and I asked at that point if she was willing to be a Senior Model for me.  Lucky for me she was!  Cassidy is a member of the Mt. Crest softball team.  We had so much fun creating fun images with her softball gear that I almost forgot to get any portrait shots of just her. She brought lots of fun props which I love incorporating into senior portrait sessions.

It's so weird for me to think that when her mother was a Senior, she and I were out doing crazy fun stuff that you only get away with in high school. It seems like only yesterday we were sticking her mother in a coffin (willingly, she got in willingly and she didn't even scream when she was almost dropped in it head first).  I hope this cute girl makes some awesome memories this year that will stick with her for a lifetime, you only get that chance once!

2014-2015 Seniors in Cache Valley, find Cassidy and ask her for once of her discount cards, she has a deal for you.  Also, check back to see if you recognize any of the other girls, they will all have a discount towards your Senior Portrait session.  I'd love to get to work with you and create some unique images for you.

Miss T | Utah Senior Portrait Photographer

This is the last of my 2014 Senior portrait posts.  I have had so much fun working with these kids (who are now officially adults).  I'm always so excited to see what they are going on to!  It's a really exciting time in your life. Soon I am going to start posting my Senior Models for the 2015 school year, it just seems that each year goes by faster and faster!  Check back soon to start seeing those beautiful girls.  I can't wait to share them all with you!

This gorgeous girl was a Senior Model for me for this year.  She decided she wanted to do another shoot in the spring and I was more than happy to so it for her because she is so much fun to be around. She is also a pro at makeup.  I'm not sure what she has planned for the future, but if it's not being a makeup artist, it maybe should be!  She always shows up to her shoots looking stunning.  I wish I had that kind of talent, I'm terrible at it (even with a lesson from my makeup artist Ashley).  It doesn't hurt that she has a natural beauty and a super sweet personality to go with it.

I consider myself so lucky that I've gotten to work a lot with this family, her older sister was also a Senior Model and I got to do their family portraits.  They are always so nice and kind, I love working with them.  It's still a few more years before I get to recruit their next daughter to be a Senior Model for me, but you can bet when that time comes I will sign her right up because they are such great people.

As always, leave me some comments, I'd love to hear what you think!
