I've been working a lot with an amazing makeup artist named Ashley. We have decided that each month we will do a concept shoot, one month her concept and the next month my concept. Our first try at this was in November and she wanted to do something along the lines of a dark circus. The weather didn't really permit for to much craziness. It was snowing and the models were freezing! But we had soooooooo much fun doing this!!! We also had the hair styling talents of Brenda Larsen. She did such a great job! The day was just sort of like a girls night out, we laughed, we ate, we hung out. It wasn't work at all!
If you are a senior girl who is looking to get your senior portraits done in Logan, Utah, I can't say enough great things about Ashley. Her work is so amazing! She will make you look stunning. Check out her work at Perfection by Ashley.

The Y Family | Logan Utah Family Photographer
I seem to have taken a break from blogging and I didn't even mean to! I have a few family sessions and a really fun concept shoot I did with my makeup artist that I need to post. (My makeup artist is awesome, check her out here, girls looking to get senior portraits done should DEFINITELY consider her).
First up is one of the greatest families I know. The husband has been friends with my husband since they were very small. So, that means I have known them for over 20 years now. Wow! Time flies! We had so much fun doing their pictures even though it was super cold that morning. We also took a few of their cute little one for his second birthday. Of course we also had to get him in his Halloween costume because it was coming right up too. He got really tired of me taking his picture and finally refused to look at me anymore, saying "no Aimee". He was a really good sport for a long time though!

Nick | Northern Utah Senior Portrait Photographer
I recently attended a workshop in Idaho that was taught by the awesome Craig LaMere. Lately, he's pretty much my idol. Until next week and I find another photographer I become obsessed with. Anyway..... while there I learned a lot about using light and strobes. When I left I had finally convinced myself that I really needed to give in and buy a big light. So I did.
Just a few days after it came I wrangled one of my bestie's sons into posing for me so I could take it out and try it. Can I just say that I am in LOVE! It's going to change a lot for me I think (hope). It was getting dark fast and was super cold so we didn't get too many shots (I also didn't really need too many). But I love how these turned out and I can't wait to practice more and see what I can do!

Josh | Salt Lake City Senior Portrait Photographer
Winter is just about upon us which means that the outdoor photography season may be coming to and end soon. Luckily I got to work in this awesome Senior before the weather changed. Josh is a Senior at Alta High School. I love doing Senior pics in Salt Lake because it challenges me. I can't rely on going to the same locations I shoot at in Cache Valley so it makes me get more creative. Both he and his mother had gone out spotting for locations and both of them had decided this park would make a good spot, separately. So it must have been a great space! It did have a pretty awesome tree in it.
These two were so much fun to work with! I felt like I kind of forced Josh to play a little soccer at the end because I love to do the athlete shots so much. In fact, I probably show case them a little too much because I had someone ask me if I just do regular Senior Portraits and not just sports ones. I promise, I do, and I love to do those just as much!

Addy | Salt Lake City Utah Senior Portrait Photographer
I've been so lucky this year because not only have gotten to photograph Seniors from Cache Valley but I've also had a few from Salt Lake City as well. I love a good road trip so heading to Salt Lake for Senior Portraits is actually really fun for me!
This beautiful girl is a Senior at Juan Diego High School. She was on a tight deadline for her senior pictures and the weather wasn't helping us out any! We had scheduled for a Sunday but it rained, all day. So we had to reschedule for the following Friday and I'm a little glad we did because it was a gorgeous day at Wheeler Farm. Her super cute family came along and we snapped a couple of images of them as well. They were the funnest family! I love doing Senior Portraits so much that I had to tell her that she would need to tell me when she was done because I would seriously just take her pictures all day! Enjoy!
