Logan Utah Engagement Photography

It's been a crazy year for my family this year and it's not even half way thru!  We had a wedding, unfortunately a funeral, and a baby is on the way in August (not me silly, my niece).  It's one reason this blog got neglected for so long.  Life got in the way.  It happens to most of us.

This is my niece who got married this year.  She is such a great girl with such a good head on her shoulders.  I was lucky enough to get to take her engagement pictures, bridals, and formal pictures of both her and her new husband.  I didn't do the wedding though because we've been through this, I don't do weddings haha!  In fact, she came over to talk to me about doing pictures and I was so worried she was going to ask me to shoot the wedding.  I was talking to my sister and asking her if I should be fool enough to do it or not, but in the end it didn't matter.  She knew I didn't like weddings and was arranging someone else to do it.  I texted my relief to my sister that night only to discover I had accidentally texted the bride to be instead!  How embarrassing!  Luckily I would never have anything bad to say about this cute girl so it wasn't too bad, but we've all had that moment of panic when we realized we aren't talking to who we though, right?  At least I hope I'm not the only one to do that!  Enjoy this fun engagement session shot in downtown Logan, Utah.

Meg Bridals | Northern Utah Bridal Photographer

As I've said probably 5 million times on this here blog, I'm no longer shooting weddings.  But you probably also know that I am not one to pass up the opportunity to shoot bridals, I looooooove shooting bridal portraits!  Through a strange twist of fate, I actually did end up shooting this gorgeous girl's wedding.  With some very good sweet talk and a call from my mother-in-law, I was convinced to shoot this one wedding this year.  You probably won't see the pics on here though because I don't like to showcase things that I don't shoot.  Kind of confuses people.

For this bridal shoot we headed up to the Logan Temple.  The happy couple was getting married there in June (yep, I'm that far behind on blogging) so we decided to start there and find another location for some other shots.  She brought along her mom and her cutest ever grandma.  They were such good sports on indulging me and my over active shooting.  Sometimes I need to be told when someone is done or else I will just keep shooting until it gets too dark.  I have issues.  After the temple we headed to a small park on the USU campus.  The blossoms were out and it was just too gorgeous!

Her wedding day turned out great.  There was threats of rain so her mom bought a cute umbrella to match her colors.  Turned out that we didn't even need it though because it didn't start raining until we got in the car after taking her formals.  What luck!  And rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck.  These two won't need it though, I'm not sure I've ever seen a bride and groom so happy on their wedding day.

Judy | Logan High Senior Pictures Photographer

Judy is a Senior this year at Logan High school and she is just about one of the cutest girls you would ever meet!  She had so much personality packed into her tiny little body and she let it all shine in her pictures.  Her mother was the sweetest woman too.  It was incredibly hot the day of her shoot and her mother ran out and bought us each a Diet Coke, I'm sure saving our lives!

Be sure to follow me on Facebook!  I'm much better at remembering to post there!

Alisha and Justin | Logan Utah Wedding Photographer

I was bored one night and whining to Brandi that I didn't have anything to do, so she invited me on a formal shoot she was doing.  She had done their engagement pictures but due to a scheduling conflict we weren't able to shoot their wedding.  When these two pulled up in their car I turned to Brandi and said "Thank You!".  This evening had some sort of magic to it.  Beautiful Bride, Handsome Groom, and ideal weather.  It was one of the most perfect shoots I have ever been on.  Thanks again Brandi for letting me tag along!

Johanna and Wayde - Northern Utah Wedding Photographer

This was probably one of the funnest shoots I have ever done.  These two were so much fun and so completely in love.  The both had an idea of how they wanted this shoot to feel, and Brandi and I delivered if I do say so myself!  They are both down to earth and from the country and they wanted to convey that in their pictures.  They spotted this awesome barn, just minutes from my house, and Wayde marched right up to the door and asked if we could shoot there.  I really wish I had gone with him now so I had permanent permission to shoot there because it was an awesome spot!

I can NOT wait until their wedding, they really are that much fun!  Follow me on Facebook, I'm sure I will post their wedding there first, I'm just weird like that.
